Oracle Financials
A nightly interface with Oracle Finance has been developed by the RM Projects Team and been in operation within the projects module since 2005.
The interface brings over year to date summary transactions from finance and stores them in the Transaction Financials related item against a project. This enables users to reports on financial activity on a project against budget, grouped for a particular researcher, against an invoicing schedule etc. Whilst the listings are not as detailed as the information found within Oracle Finance, the interface offers the benefit of being able to report on the project as a whole rather than on an account by account basis.
