Callista
QUT's Callista Student Management System provides a student record by semester that drives reporting to DEST on HECS census date. It can gauge student load in terms of semester blocks based on enrolments being recorded in the system. ResearchMaster (RM) provides a mechanism for monitoring student progress on a daily basis on terms of dates and consumed load. Because RM records shorter (non semester blocks) there will be a variation between the consumed load on RM and the load in Callista. Data from Callista is automatically tranferred to RM via a nightly process.
All successful higher degree research student applications are transferred from Callista to ResearchMaster. Data that is imported automatically from Callista includes:
- Student details such as name and student ID
- Contact details
- Some statistical information such as student type (Australian citizen), funding mode and SSC (previously known as HECS codes)
- Course details for current course (Note, information on units is excluded.)
- Supervisor details
- Previous course history for non-current courses
Any changed to the above fields in Callista will flow into ResearchMaster overnight.
